Miguel sent us these three ads for Simyo mobile company, all aimed at the gay community in Spain:

“I dropped my mobile…will you pick it up for me?” (Referring to the phone’s portability.)

“No ties. Today with you, tomorrow we’ll see.” (Because the company doesn’t require a contract.)

“I want my number to end in 5.” (According to Miguel, this “comes from a vulgar
Spanish saying that connects the sound of ‘cinco’ [five] to anal sex”; the phrase
refers to the chance to pick your own phone number.)
Lisa is doubtful that the Lego company authorized the use of Lego people in these ads.

Damn those ads are raw! No pun intended……….
Still yet another example of (male) homosexuality being defined only by virtue of a sex act, and of being closely aligned with promiscuity and particular subcultural stereotypes (as evinced by the ‘dress’ and facial hair of the lego men). While aimed at a particular group of gay men (ostensibly the urban party / club scene), it is certainly not aimed at the gay community as a whole.
Nonetheless, I rather like them (ha).
Muy bueno!!! Very good!!! Do you know the last spanish joke?
