The Emerging Class of the Lucky-Rich

In the last decade, the number of super-wealthy Americans has doubled. The extremely rich own 73 percent of the wealth in America and are using it to form residential enclaves, creating a nation within a nation—a subnation author Robert Frank calls “Richistan.” They are unlikely to disappear if free- market capitalism continues to allow the lucky-rich to grow exponentially during the next few years.
